After announcing the move on September 1, 2026, Binance is adding physically settled options on more than 1,000 selected U.S. stocks and ETFs for eligible users outside the United States, extending its push from crypto trading into brokerage-style market access.

What you need to know
1Binance says the product covers 1,000+ selected U.S. stocks and ETFs for eligible non-U.S. users.
2Orders run through ADGM-regulated Nest Trading and Alpaca Securities for execution, clearing, settlement and custody.
3Contracts are physically settled, so exercised positions can result in underlying shares rather than a cash payout.
4The launch follows Binance's 7,000+ stock and ETF access and $433.4 billion in August TradFi perpetual volume.

On September 1, 2026, Binance described the launch as another step in its multi-asset platform strategy. In its official announcement, Binance said the options product is not available to U.S. users and is offered through Nest Trading Limited, an Abu Dhabi Global Market regulated broker-dealer. What remains unclear is whether eligible retail users will understand the exercise mechanics before using stock options inside a crypto-led account.

That structure matters because Binance is not simply listing a tokenized price feed. According to both Binance and Alpaca, Nest routes execution, clearing, settlement and custody through Alpaca Securities LLC. The product therefore sits closer to brokerage access than to a purely crypto-native derivative, even though it is being distributed inside Binance’s platform.

The market context is Binance’s rapid expansion beyond spot crypto. The company said it already offers access to more than 7,000 U.S. equities and ETFs for eligible users, while monthly volume in its TradFi perpetuals rose to about $433.4 billion in August from about $29.5 billion in January. Equity-linked perpetual contracts accounted for roughly 79% of that August activity.

Options add a different risk profile from perpetual futures. A call or put can be used to express a directional view or hedge an equity position, but the maximum loss for a buyer is still the premium paid. Because these contracts are physically settled, exercised positions can result in ownership of the underlying shares. Unprofitable contracts, or contracts without timely exercise instructions before the stated cut-off, can expire worthless.

For crypto platforms, the bigger signal is distribution. Binance is using its global user base to push traditional market products into the same account environment as digital assets, while depending on regulated brokerage rails for the securities layer. Independent coverage from The Block and Cointelegraph framed the move as part of a broader race to blend crypto exchanges with stock and ETF access.

The caveat is that expanded access does not make equity options simpler. Binance still needs clear eligibility checks, risk disclosures and execution reliability if retail users are moving between crypto products, stock-linked perpetuals and physically settled stock options in one venue. That makes the 1,000+ options rollout a larger TradFi bridge, but it also brings a more demanding investor-protection standard into view.
