1inch has hit $800 billion in cumulative trading volume, per Dune Analytics, putting it among DeFi’s most-used execution layers. The milestone comes as the company pushes hard into real-world assets, a new liquidity architecture, and developer tooling for AI agents.
1inch at $800 billion: more than a swap aggregator
1inch made its name routing trades across decentralized exchanges to get users the best price. Eight hundred billion dollars later, the company wants you to know it’s more than that. Co-founder Sergej Kunz called the milestone a signal that “DeFi is not a niche experiment anymore” and is becoming core financial infrastructure. Recent product work backs the pitch. In March, 1inch launched a new Advanced Trading Form and 1inch Terminal for experienced traders, with faster swap execution across its APIs.
1inch RWA trading volume crosses $2.5 billion
The more interesting 1inch numbers are in RWA right now. Trading volume through its Ondo integration has crossed $2.5 billion, and a new xStocks partnership targets onchain liquidity for tokenized equities. On the institutional side, integrations include Flowdesk for Societe Generale’s EURCV and USDCV stablecoin deployment, plus wallet partnerships with Rewardy and OneKey.
Aqua and agentic DeFi: 1inchโs next infrastructure layer
1inch also released Aqua, a liquidity system that lets the same capital run multiple strategies at once without locking funds. It targets something DeFi has never fully solved: capital fragmented across protocols, doing one job at a time. For developers and enterprises, its Business MCP gives direct access to the 1inch Swap API for AI-powered trading and automated onchain workflows. Onchain automation is coming, and 1inch is betting it sits at the center of it.
$800 billion figure is the record, but the more interesting number will be what comes next. How much of that volume will actually shift towards RWA, agentic workflows, and the new Aqua architecture as as 1inch moves to infrastructure territory.
