1The Block reported a jump in Pump.fun token graduations after BOOST changed launch incentives.
2Pump.fun's own fee page says graduation to PumpSwap costs 0.015 SOL and bonding-curve trades carry 1.25% total fees.
3PUMP traded near $0.001848, down 7.2% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.
4Binance SOL futures open interest stood near $613 million, about 8.42 times PUMP 24-hour volume.
Market context at 00.10 CEST, July 30, 2026. SOL traded at $73.42 on Binance, -1.5% below its 24-hour high of $74.53. Binance spot turnover was $121.6 million, while SOL futures open interest was 8.35 million SOL, or about $612.9 million. The latest funding rate was -0.0016%, according to Binance futures data.
Pump.fun BOOST changes the test
Pump.fun sits at the noisy end of Solana. It lets users launch and trade meme tokens quickly, then sends successful coins to PumpSwap after they clear the bonding curve. That graduation step matters because it separates temporary launches from tokens that earn a real secondary market.
The fresh catalyst is BOOST. The Block described it as a new default launch mechanism tied to higher graduation rates. The important limit is just as clear. BOOST applies after a token has already bonded, so it does not automatically push weak launches over the first threshold.
Pump.fun’s own documentation gives the economic frame. Creating a coin costs 0 SOL or 0 USDC, while graduation from Pump.fun to PumpSwap costs 0.015 SOL. Bonding-curve trades carry a 1.25% total fee, split between creator and protocol fees. That means the new incentive layer is riding on top of an already fee-heavy launch funnel.
Solana liquidity is the real backdrop
The market backdrop is mixed. CoinGecko put PUMP near $0.001848, with a market cap around $734 million and 24-hour volume of $72.8 million. SOL was down 1.2% over 24 hours on CoinGecko, with a market cap near $42.4 billion.
The CryptoFocus calculation is the gap between activity and balance-sheet weight. PUMP’s 24-hour volume equaled about 0.60 times Binance SOL spot turnover, but SOL futures open interest was about 8.42 times PUMP’s 24-hour volume and 0.84 times PUMP’s market cap. In plain terms, the launchpad token is trading hard, while the larger Solana risk sits in derivatives.
That gap is useful because it keeps the story out of simple hype. More graduations can lift PumpSwap activity and fee flow. They do not prove lasting demand for the new tokens, nor do they remove the leverage risk around SOL itself.

Why U.S. and global traders care
For U.S. and global overnight readers, the issue is market plumbing. Pump.fun is not a regulated exchange, but it can shape where Solana meme-token liquidity appears first. A higher graduation rate can send more tokens from fast launch curves into PumpSwap pools, where liquidity becomes easier to track.
That helps traders compare venue risk. The same week that crypto equities, prediction markets and tokenized products are competing for attention, Pump.fun shows the retail-native side of market structure. It is faster, smaller and more fragile than public-company crypto revenue, but it can still influence SOL demand and fee flow.
The risk is incentive quality. If BOOST rewards activity that would have happened anyway, the effect fades. If it pulls weak launches into pools that cannot hold liquidity, traders get more symbols but not better markets.
What to watch after BOOST
The first watchpoint is whether the graduation rate stays elevated after the first rush. The second is whether PUMP volume holds above $73 million while the token is falling. The third is whether SOL open interest keeps expanding while funding stays near neutral.
Those three numbers will say more than a single graduation headline. A healthy setup would show more graduated tokens, deeper PumpSwap pools and calmer SOL leverage. A weaker setup would show graduation spikes without durable volume. That would make BOOST a launch incentive, not a liquidity fix.
BOOST watchlist
---
1Graduation rate has to stay elevated beyond the first news cycle.
2PUMP volume needs to hold while the token trades under pressure.
3SOL open interest should not rise faster than spot liquidity.
4PumpSwap depth matters more than the number of newly listed symbols.
